Brought to Toronto’s East End by Crow’s Theatre

An Outside the March, Convergence Theatre and Sheep No Wool Production

An epic three-part procession through time and faith, performed in the heart of Toronto’s East End.

This June, Crow’s is teaming up with three of Toronto’s most exciting indie theatre companies, Outside the MarchConvergence Theatre and Sheep No Wool  for the Canadian Premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s epic masterpiece Passion Play. This will be an immersive, multi-location experience unlike anything you have ever seen!

Passion Play is a three-part saga that examines a company of amateur actors staging a traditional passion play at three different historical moments: Elizabethan England, Nazi Germany and Reagan-Era America. This triptych explores the collision of religion, politics, and theatre, and how the stories we tell shape who we are as individuals and as a community.

Performances will take place in Withrow Park and Eastminster United Church.

June 6th to 30th, 2013
