THREE WAYS TO SAVE
It’s Halloween 2024, one week before the U.S. federal election and a sense of unease hangs in the air.
Anita Knight, a brilliant and ambitious Yale academic, has gathered her closest friends to help her prepare for the job interview of a lifetime. Her husband arrives, late to the party, setting off a chain of events no one sees coming.
As their carefully constructed stories unravel, dark forces threaten friendships, marriages, and perhaps the fate of humanity itself. Just imagine if Edward Albee and Jordan Peele had a baby—and that baby had a dinner party.
WIGHTS is written by playwright Liz Appel and directed by Crow’s Theatre Artistic Director Chris Abraham (The Master Plan, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812). Liz holds an MFA in Playwriting from Hunter College, an MPhil in Modern and Medieval Languages from Cambridge University; and an M.A. and MPhil in English from Yale. Plus, she interviews artists for Vogue.com.
The WIGHTS cast features Ari Cohen (Infinite Life, Coal Mine Theatre), Sochi Fried (The Game of Love and Chance, Shaw Festival), Richard Lee (The Orphan of Zhao, Shaw Festival), and Rachel Leslie (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Broadway).
Something is coming and you will never be the same again.
