In the east end neighbourhood of Riverside, Broadview Avenue runs between a Toronto Community Housing neighbourhood and an enclave of high-end townhouses.

    One neighbourhood.

    Two communities.

    This is their story.

Improvised each night by five non-actor residents of Riverside, Broadview is a first-hand account of life in this rapidly changing neighbourhood.

Age Restriction: Ages 12 and older, based on the discussion of mature themes

ALL PROCEEDS from ticket sales will be donated to community programs in the Toronto Community Housing Community neighbourhood of Rivertowne!

    The Audience Experience of Broadview

Audience members are given a set of headphones and a radio device. The radio device has five channels. Five empty chairs are on stage, with a number written above each chair from one to five. All five performers take their seats and start speaking at the same time. By switching the channels on their radio device, the audience chooses who they want to listen to. Or the audience can choose to take off the headphones and absorb the cacophony of voices. The audience decides.
