Led by Artistic and General Director, Chris Abraham and Executive Director Sherrie Johnson, Crow’s Theatre is located at the corner of Carlaw Avenue and Dundas Street East in Toronto’s east end. Our home at Streetcar Crowsnest is comprised of four venues for dynamic cultural and community programming: the Guloien Theatre (200 seats); Studio Theatre (90); the Nada Ristich Studio Gallery (80); the full-service Lobby Bar; as well as an onsite restaurant which can accommodate 60 seated indoors and 75 on the outdoor patio.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Crow’s Theatre is seeking motivated and driven telesales customer service representatives to lead a subscription telesales campaign of renewals and new acquisitions and increase ticket sales overall. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and the Manger of Ticketing, while working with both the departments, the telesales representatives will work to maximize our marketing efforts by mirroring our organizational goals and messaging, and by complementing our direct mail, social media, and email campaigns. This is a three-month contract as a Crow’s Theatre ‘concierge’ and an opportunity to play a meaningful role within a vibrant and entrepreneurial cultural hub.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our priority is to provide a positive call experience for our patrons, whether they choose to subscribe or not. You will
- Become an expert on our season, subscription benefits, and Crow’s Theatre mission
- Co-ordinate and organize all existing leads for outbound calls
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
- Close sales and process subscription or ticket orders over the phone
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions
- Provide ongoing real-time analysis in order to identify any areas of improvement
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop, implement, and adapt, if needed, effective sales strategies
- Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly revenue targets
- Attend weekly sales meetings and provide updates on progress
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous telesales experience is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- A love of theatre and a good sense of humour
COMPENSATION
This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for three months with evening and weekend hours. Subject to public health guidelines, this is an in-house position. Fee is $22/hour plus a competitive commission structure based on sales performance.
