Call For Submissions: GENERAL AUDITIONS
Crow’s Theatre is distinguished as Toronto's preeminent cultural hub for its far-reaching imagination, ideas, exchange, diversity and grassroots belief in how artists and their work can change and sustain the life of communities.
As we navigate this unprecedented time, when we are aligning with the recommendation from the city and province to maintain social and physical distance, Crow’s continues to explore new ways to deliver an authentic Crow’s experience now and in the future. As such, we are inviting emerging and established actors to submit for our 2020 General Auditions. These Auditions will take place exclusively online.
Crow’s Theatre encourages submissions from artists with a broad range of backgrounds, including but not limited to: ethnicity, gender, culture, indigeneity, body type, physical ability and sexuality.
Actors are asked to prepare and record the following:
1) Introduction- tell us a little bit about yourself! (30 sec max)
2) Projects- Do you have a project in development? Tell us a little bit about it- your inspiration, your process and progress. (30 sec max)
3) Monologues- one (1) contemporary monologue and one (1) classical monologue, running no more than 1.5 minutes each in length. Monologues should be selected from plays. Please do not submit material from a musical.
