Open Submissions for Crowsnest Corner

Jul 2, 2021

Crow's Theatre is looking for musical artists and bands to perform live outdoors during our Crowsnest Corner from Late Summer and into the Fall.

Crowsnest Corner is an outdoor performance stage that will feature bands to an outdoor audience at the heart of the popular East-End Dundas & Carlaw intersection. The performance and audience will abide all provincial COVID policies and regulations, and enjoin an outdoor eating and drinking experience with live performing artists.

We are specifically looking for local solos, duos, and trios, in genres including but not limited to jazz, bluegrass, folk, classical, blues, R&B, soul, country, reggae, soft-pop-rock and everything in between. We are looking for all different types of interesting and eclectic musical artists and arrangements, and are looking forward to showcasing your music to our vibrant East-End audience.

The sets will run select days, starting at 8pm. We are aiming for (x2)-45min sets per performer(s) per evening. We are presently offering each group $300-$600 for each evening’s performance. (*Note – we have a friendly neighborhood policy and need to keep the noise at a manageable level).

Crow’s Theatre is committed to supporting the work of artists that represent the diverse communities we serve, including IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and individuals from other equity-seeking groups; and we are excited to present the music of artists that represent the diversity and richness of our city. In this regard, at least 50% of artists presented will be from these communities.

Subject to change pending Stage 3 reopening guidelines.
