Our home at Streetcar Crowsnest is comprised of four venues for dynamic cultural and community programming: the Guloien Theatre (225 seats); Studio Theatre (90); the Nada Ristich Studio Gallery (80); the full-service Lobby Bar; as well as an onsite restaurant leased to Piano Piano, which can accommodate 60 seated indoors and 75 on the outdoor patio.

About The Position
The Production & Facilities Coordinator is an early– to mid-career role within the Production Department, supporting the day-to-day operations of Crow’s Theatre’s production facilities and venues. This position plays a key role in ensuring that production spaces, storage areas, and technical facilities remain organized, functional, and well maintained to support the company’s artistic activities.
Working closely with the Director of Production, Technical Director, and Assistant Technical Director, the Production & Facilities Coordinator assists with operational logistics, venue and facility upkeep, and administrative coordination for productions and presentations across Crow’s Theatre’s venues. The role requires strong organizational skills, practical problem-solving, and the ability to balance hands-on facility support with production coordination and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities

Facilities & Operations Support

Assists with the day-to-day operational oversight of Crow’s Theatre production and facility spaces.

Supports maintenance and operational needs for Crow’s Theatre’s venues, including the Guloien Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Cabaret/Rehearsal space.

With General Manager, oversees building and facility needs including light repairs and liaising with contractors for more extensive repairs and maintenance

Coordinates routine facility upkeep and assist in identifying and addressing maintenance needs in production and backstage areas.

Help maintain safe, clean, and organized workspaces across production and technical facilities.

Production Storage & Warehouse Management

Manages and maintain warehouse storage areas, backstage storage spaces, and other production facilities.

Organizes and track storage of scenery, props, equipment, and other production assets.

Coordinates the movement of materials between venues, storage areas, and offsite locations as required.

Production Coordination Support

Supports the Director of Production with show planning and production logistics as assigned.

Attends production meetings and meetings with contract designers as assigned, assisting with coordination and follow-up where required.

Provides administrative and logistical support to the Production Department throughout production cycles.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Production Department and the operational needs of the organization.

Administrative & Logistical Support

Assists with departmental administration, including coordination of deliveries, pick-ups, and vendor interactions as required.

Helps track production materials, supplies, and equipment across multiple venues and storage locations.

Touring & Offsite Production Support
-
When assigned, provides onsite production oversight and logistical coordination for Crow’s Theatre touring productions and presentations at offsite venues.

Liaises with partner venues and touring personnel to support smooth production execution.

Other Responsibilites
-
Evening and weekend work may be required during production periods or special events.

May require occasional travel to supervise technical install of tours.

Occasional lifting, moving of equipment, and hands-on facility tasks may be required.
Qualifications
- Early to mid-career experience in theatre production, technical theatre, production management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of current safety standards and the implementation of same.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience working with theatrical venues, production facilities, and technical departments and equipment.
- Practical knowledge of backstage operations, production logistics, and facility management is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with occasional deliveries or pickups is an asset.
Compensation
This is a full-time permanent position. A competitive package will be provided with salary commensurate with experience in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 per annum. The position includes participation in Crow’s extended health benefits and pension plan.
